According to data from market research company UBI Research, in 2021, the global OLED luminescent material market will reach 1.52 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 17%.
The research firm estimates that Korean panel companies will purchase 74.3% of the total materials, while Chinese counterparts will account for 25.7%. From the manufacturer's point of view, Samsung Display will become the largest buyer, accounting for 45.9%. This is followed by LG Display's 28.5% and BOE's 13.7%.
UBI research pointed out that RGB (red, green, blue) OLED materials used in small OLEDs will account for 81.4%, and the proportion of OLED materials used in white OLEDs will be 18.3%. In addition, OLED materials used for quantum dots (QD) will account for less than 1% of the total materials.
